We have a situation where batches allocated against sales order lines sometimes disappear.
I have noticed some curious behavior which may be causing the problem.
Starting with an order with 50 lines, batches are allocated and the order is added.
Each time the order is modified, when updating all of the batch allocation lines are reversed and then reallocated. This happens even when quantities are not changed or the batch details are not looked at.
Looking at the allocation records in OITL and ITL1 we have a series of records linked to the order line with values such as 2, -2, 2, -2 ....., 2 which all add up to the allocated amount.
It seems that at times the last record is not added and they add up to zero.
The lost records seem to happen on orders with many lines and when there has been a lot of updating performed.
After pressing update it takes a couple of seconds before the updating is completed. It seems that in this time interval something odd is happening.
Patch level is 8.82 PL11.
I would appreciate your thoughts regarding this issue.
